Logistics is a very important part of Amazon’s operations, of which FBA is the most complex and important. As a novice seller, if you don’t know the FBA shipping requirements, you will suffer a lot. Only by understanding the Amazon FBA delivery process and the possible problems in the transportation process can reasonably avoid problems and risks. Let’s talk about the Amazon FBA shipping process and precautions.

FBA delivery operation process

When the product is uploaded successfully, it will be faced with creating an FBA program and shipping the product to the Amazon warehouse. Then the detailed operation steps are as follows:

Step 1: Convert to “FBA Shipping”

Click Inventory on the home page, select the SKU to be converted, and select “Change to Fulfill by Amazon” in the Action, so that the selected product can be converted into FBA inventory.

Note: If you change a product from Seller Fulfilled to Amazon Fulfilled, the seller’s product listing will not be visible to the buyer until Amazon receives the item and puts it on the shelf.

If the seller wants the buyer to see the product during this period and there is still inventory in the seller’s country, it can be converted from FBA inventory. However, during the conversion process, the seller must reset the domestic inventory of the product.

Step 2: Confirm the FBA product

After selecting the FBA product to be shipped, the page will jump, click “Convert Only” to confirm the conversion of FBA for shipment.

Step 3: Create an Invoice

  1. Set Quantity

Enter the quantity of the shipped product under unit. If the seller did not enter the product packaging type when uploading the product before, the packaging type of the product should also be filled in here. There are two types of Packing Type: Individual products and Case packed products. Individual products are mixed, that is, different products are mixed packaged and boxed, and Case packed products are the same product with the same SKU.

Note: The shipping address is automatically generated. If necessary, you can modify the shipping address and click “Ship from another address”.

  1. Prepare Products

Check the SKU variety and quantity to ensure that the SKU and quantity of the physical product are exactly the same as those filled in when they were created.

  1. Label Products

Each product sent to the FBA warehouse must be labeled. Amazon’s backend will let the seller choose whether to label by Amazon or the seller himself. If you choose Amazon to label, you will be charged. If the seller chooses to label by himself, select “Merchant” under “who labels”, and select the label paper of the corresponding specification to print the label.

Under normal circumstances, Amazon uses A4 format paper for printing by default, and sellers can purchase A4 format self-adhesive paper for printing. Under normal circumstances, the number of labels printed on each A4 paper is 21~44, and the seller can choose the corresponding specifications to print according to the product packaging size. After the selection is complete, click “Print this page label” to print the label.

  1. Review Shipments

Check your shipment’s origin, packaging type, product preparation fees, and more. Here sellers can see which warehouse Amazon has assigned products to, each Shipment name represents each warehouse, and can see how many products the seller has in the warehouse. The Amazon system automatically allocates warehouses. If the seller does not want to separate warehouses, you can set up warehouses in the background in advance (an additional fee will be charged for combining warehouses). After confirming that there is no problem, click “Process Shipment”, and then click “Confirm Shipment”.

  1. Prepare Shipment

First, check the items in the shipment; then, select the shipping service; then, set the box information; finally, print the outer box label and stick it to the outer box after packing.

Here, the seller needs to choose the shipping method and the shipping carrier. Generally, small parcel delivery (SPD) is filled in by default for the shipping method of goods weighing about 60 kilograms; “DHL EXPRESS (SUA) INC” is filled in by default for the carrier, and the seller can also choose a reasonably priced and reliable freight forwarder.

Note: As long as FBA shipments are involved, two labels need to be printed, the product label and the outer box label.

Product labels can be printed in the required quantity during the creation of an FBA order. You can also view the corresponding list on the Inventory Management page, select “Print Labels” from the top menu bar, and print through Amazon’s system. If you feel that it is inconvenient to print in this way, you can also use the labeling machine to directly regenerate a label with the label code corresponding to the product label. It should be noted that the label code of the combination of letters and numbers below the label and t
